Dr. Elizabeth Hobson (Dr. Bess) brings extensive training and expertise to her work with individuals, couples, and families. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 43708) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 823) in California, with licenses by endorsement in Florida and Vermont. Her doctorate in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychology (2021) from The Reiss-Davis Graduate School and Master of Science in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy (2004) from California State University, Northridge provide a strong foundation for her practice. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Bess specializes in helping adolescents, adults, and families build stronger emotional connections and develop their authentic selves.

Her specialized training includes a focus on neurodivergent and developmental differences (Child Development Institute, 2002-2011), infant and early childhood mental health, and Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling (EFT) through ICEEFT. She is also a Reflective Supervision Facilitator II. Dr. Bess shares her expertise as an Adjunct Professor at The Reiss-Davis Graduate School, where she trains future mental health professionals in psychodynamic principles. She has also chaired and served on dissertation committees for doctoral candidates. She maintains a private practice in Woodland Hills, CA, and is committed to giving back to her community through volunteer work and her inclusive swimming school, which serves children with neurodivergent developmental needs.
